dc.description.abstract Power is everywhere. It is a part of everyday life and there will always be someone in control for one reason or another. It does not matter whether or not it is considered good or bad, power happens regardless of the society or social setting in which one is placed. At its core, power is the ability to control something or someone. In architecture, power is displayed through a variety of means such as symbolism, monumentality, choice of materials, the composition, as well as the meaning that the design is trying to portray. en_US
