dc.description.abstract As cities have grown and evolved so too has the way a cities urban edge has been defined. For years there has been a fine line that separates urban life from the less advanced neighborhoods that surround them. Today however, these edges have become more of a divide in their existence. A divide in multiple environments, thus creating displacement and disinvestment leaving behind the remnants of a once prominent community, emanated from political changes and border shifts that constitutes two separate entities. “On Edge” explores the edge of Jefferson-Chalmers and Grosse Pointe Park and the strategies in which architects use to promote the cross pollination between the edge of the two cities. en_US
