Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to critically examine the community engagement process of Urban Redevelopment In a specific neighborhood in Detroit. Detroit’s City Planning and Development Department, partnered with local community development financial institutions and philanthropic supporters, has targeted several areas of the city as models of neighborhood revitalization. As a geographic area of study this team selected the neighborhoods and commercial corridors stemming from the intersection of Livernois Avenue and West McNichols Road in Northwest Detroit
