Abstract:
This thesis will cover a phenomenology of violent video games. The thesis will begin with a historical look at phenomenology, as well as explain what exactly phenomenology is for the general laypeople. Then the thesis moves into the explaining the phenomenological method used by the author.
From here, the phenomenology of violent video games is presented. The essence of video games that are violent is discerned and described. Following this is a psychological analysis of violent video games and their effect on people, especially children.
